I had this style and color idea for the first scene of my cartoon... what do you think? There are gonna be a lot more trees and other stuff, so don't worry about that ;) just the style :)

OMG! I just mentioned that I didn't tell you that my plan for graduation was approved a couple of weeks ago haha! Party time! <:o)

Experimental WIP

First time I ever drew a environment! Mitch is helping me a lot, but I also like to receive feedback from other people :). I wasn't finished tuning up the trees on the left, so they don't have any leaves yet haha.

First idea for story :)

While making moodboards I found an image of a seal. Toby lives in a forest and seals actually don't, but that will make it even more funny ^-^. The seal will be popping up everywhere and Toby tries to scare him of by acting like a tiger.

Last night I've made 2 quick idea sketches (on note paper :P) to visualize my idea :)

Online animation serie

I have thougt about how I could prevent my animation to become just one single animation that appears on youtube and will be forgotten after a few days. Then there was a lightbeam and angels sang! I had the idea! My animation is a first episode of a online animation serie :).

Like: Country Ghost of Mike Geiger, Sparkle Friends of Mukpuddy, The Goddamn George Liquor Program of Spumco, Happy Tree Friends of Mondo Mini Shows (I'll add more to this list later!)

Questions!

At first I wanted to make an animation to make sad kids, who lost somebody or something through dead, a little bit more happy. I came up with that idea because I, as an (almost) adult, have a hard time when someone or something dies. With that in mind I thought about how hard that should be when you are just a kid. They have so many questions that are hard to explain and understand!

But, after Joke Lunsing (teacher) asked me to ask myself as many questions (Sorry! It's Dutch!) as I could, I realized that this subject is way to heavy for me. Especially because I like happy and cute stuff much more. For now, I let this subject go, but maybe I get back to (parts of) it later, we'll see!

I also started with my graduation plan. I need to make that plan in order to start the project. In this plan I describe what my plans for the animation are and what I like to learn from it. Because I study at a university, research is compulsory part of graduation, so I have to come up with some questions I'ld like to answer in my research. Here is the first set up for my plan (Sorry, Dutch again!)
